Super Sports Junior Tennis League
This League has been developed to encourage intermediate and advanced juniors, aged 16 & under, to improve their tennis by playing competitive singles & doubles on a weekly basis in a team situation. Super Sports coaches will make up teams from the students we coach, or Super Sports students are welcome to make up their own team to compete against each other over a 5 week period, twice a year. This event is only for Super Sports coaches students.

TIMES:
Saturdays 11h00 to 12h30 or 12h30 to 14h00

Le Meridien Mina Seyahi & The Ritz-Carlton, Dubai
ENTRY FEE:
AED150 per player including special prizes from sponsors
Payable on the first day of play of the League to the Organiser at the Venue

PRIZE GIVING:
26 November 2011 & 24 March 2012 – directly after final round of matches so all players please ensure you are present
Prizes will include trophies, medals and spcial sponsor promotional items.
There will also be a Lucky Draw for Family Beach Club passess as weel as a Serve-n-Win competiton for a brand new Prince racket
GENERAL RULES & REGULATIONS
• Each team will consist of 4 or 5 players including reserves – either boy’s or girls only or mixed teams - with team players being ranked from strongest (position 1) to weakest (position 6) upon registration.
• 4 players from each team will represent the team in any given tie and have to play their singles matches in positions as per the completed registration form
• Teams will then be divided into respective divisions as per the discretion of the organizers with 5 teams in a division.
• Each division will be based at a specific venue and all ties for that league season will be played at this venue, on Saturdays between 11h00 to 12h30 or 12h30 to 14h00
FORMAT
• All ties will consist of 4 singles and 2 doubles matches – singles to be completed first before the doubles start.
• Captains of teams will decide on doubles combinations before singles matches start.
• All matches will be the best of 8 games – ie: 4/4, 5/3, 6/2, 7/1, or 8/0
• In order to speed up play:
- The “no-advantage” rule will be played where the player winning the point when the score is deuce,
wins the game.
- Players will also only change ends every 4 games.
• The Team winning the most matches per tie will win the tie.
• Points will be awarded to each team per fixture as follows:
- Win = 3 points, Draw = 1 point & Loss = 0 points
• The team with the most points at the end of the league wins the league.
• In the event of teams being tied on equal points – the organisers will calculate the relevant team positions through predetermined conditions.
• Tennis balls will be provided for all ties.
• The Event Organisers decision is final
