SUPER SPORTS
Junior FUN Tennis Tournaments
The SUPER SPORTS JUNIOR FUN TENNIS TOURNAMENTS are the ideal way to introduce tennis, in a competition format, to all our beginner & intermediate players. From our three years old up to our sixteen year olds, it is a great morning of fun filled with games and prizes. Every player will leave with something – whether it being a medal, certificate, t-shirt, poster, key chain or trophy for the champions – all players are a winner on a morning like this!

AGE GROUPS
8 & UNDER: 08h30 to 10h00 - ability: ball feeding and rallying
Here players are divided up into different courts according to their age and ability with beginner courts for the 3 – 5 and 6 – 8 year olds as well as an intermediate court for those players good enough to rally already. In the beginner sections, balls are hand-fed to the players and points awarded for every ball they hit over or if they are skilful enough to knock down one of the targets. At the end of the morning these points are then added up and an overall winner is announced at the prize giving ceremony. In the meanwhile, all those players who are of intermediate standard and who are just beginning to understand the concept of “rallying” are divided up into two different courts where they have the opportunity of playing doubles (no serving with occasional two bounces allowed before returning the ball over the net) with everyone on their court. Every point they score is added up with the top four players from each court then going through to the quarterfinals stage of this tournament. Here the players then play singles against each other until the champion is crowned at the prize giving ceremony.
9 – 10 and 11 - 12 YEARS: 10h30 to 12h30 - ability: must be able to rally a few shots
Similarly in these age groups, players are divided up into intermediate boys and girl’s courts of around 12 players. All players will initially have the opportunity of playing doubles (no serving with the coach on duty feeding the ball into play) with everyone on their court. Every point they score is added up with the top four players from each court then going through to the quarter / semi finals stage of this tournament. Here the players play singles against each other until the champion is crowned at the prize giving ceremony for the respective courts.
13 - 14 & 15 - 16 YEARS: 13h00 to 15h00 - ability: must be able to rally a few shots
