ZOGGS / Super Sports Fun Junior Swim Galas
The “ZOGGS / SUPER SPORTS Fun Junior Galas” are the ideal opportunity to introduce competitive swimming to all our young swimmers, no matter what their ability or level. These Galas will therefore allow them to “show off” what they have worked so hard for during the term. It gives our swimmers the confidence to take part in the bigger galas and also develop self-discipline that is needed to deal with both success and failure.

ZOGGY GALA: 09h00 to 11h00
The “ZOGGY GALA” is for our very young swimmers, age 3, 4, 5, 6 years who would also like to participate in this fun day but still learning all the strokes. This gala consists of fun events like the noodle race, kickboard race and for those who can, front crawl, breaststroke and backstroke. The young swimmers will be swimming over the width of the pool. It is designed to encourage younger members to 'have a go' and take part in a 'fun' gala. This is normally a very fun day for all our little enthusiastic swimmers - who will all leave with a prize at the end of the gala!
NOVICE GALA: 11h00 to 13h00
The “NOVICE GALA” will follow on from the Zoggy Gala and consist of swimming 25 meter of the official four recognized strokes, 100m Individual Medley and the Freestyle Relay, where the swimmers will learn how to work as a team. Every single swimmer is encouraged to enter as many events as they possibly can. This gala focuses on personal challenges so the swimmers are encouraged to race against the clock to better their own previous time or set a benchmark to beat in the future. Swimmers will compete against other Super Sports swimmers of the same age group and the whole gala is organized so that there is no pressure put on the young children.
